Since 1999, the conference has welcomed participants from around the world, including shoemakers, bootmakers, clogmakers, designers and student. Now, around 80-90 people regularly attend the event in a welcoming and inspiring environment. The conference is now a major annual event in the shoemaking calendar.
The 2026 conference is the first to be organised by a new 'Conference Committee', supporting and encouraging future hosts of the conference.
